The Account Executive finds and screens prospective schools that could benefit from our client’s products. The Account Executive has a strong understanding of the sales process and a proven track record of making or exceeding quota and closing new deals. The Account Executive must be an expert communicator, proficient at planning and coordinating account activity, generating sales opportunities, and reporting the status of accounts on a regular basis.
Seeking an Account Executive responsible for the DC/MD/VA area
Required skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in edtech sales role as an individual contributor
Requirements:
- 2+ years of sales experience in edtech sales roles as an individual contributor
- History of sales excellence, achievement of sales goals and quotas
- Prior training focused on sales expansion via cold calling, prospecting, and lead generation
- Travel requirements up to: 30%
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Relationship-driven approach to sales
- Superb interpersonal skills and communicates best in-person
- Background and/or experience in educational sales (specifically K-12)
- Proficiency and adaptability in dynamic, rapidly changing environments.
- Entrepreneurial, organized, trustworthy, highly autonomous, and comfortable traveling
- Proficiency with CRM software and an aptitude for learning new systems
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business or related discipline
